About 30 players of the Sierra Leone Female National team Sierra Queens have moved to camp last Friday in Lunsar ahead of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Female competition slated for Abuja in Nigeria from the 15-29 next month
The 30 players were drawn countrywide to have a regionally balance and 22 players will be selected at the end of the month that will travel to Nigeria next month.
Over the past months the team has undergone intensive training to make sure that they are in good shape for the competition.
Eight countries has be divided into two groups will participate in the competition. In Group A we have Nigeria, Senegal, Guinea, and Gambia
While in Group B we have Ghana, Sierra Leone, Mali and Tanzania.
Sierra Queens’ first match will be played on the 16 of August against one of their arch rivals in the competition Ghana and their second match will be against Mali three days later and their last game in the group will be played against Tanzania
