Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Kenyan rapper, Nairobi-born and raised, Kaligraph Jones real name Ouko Robert was blown away by the stunning topography of Sierra Leone arriving in the country on Thursday.
The artist, who is to perform at a concert organized by the Sierra Leone Entertainment Ambassador, Kao Denero was immediately struck by the beauty of the country’s landscape. From the lush rainforests to the sandy beaches and towering mountains, the rapper was in awe of the natural wonders of Sierra Leone.
“I had no idea Sierra Leone was so beautiful,” the rapper said. Noting that the experience is the polar opposite of the negative stories and remarks about the country.
‘’I really want to come here because there is a picture about Sierra Leone that has been sold to us, the stories about war and all that but then when we get here, we get to experience Sierra Leone it was like great, like the United States of America, I’m pretty surprised and amazed at the same time and I’m just happy to be and experience Sierra Leone on a personal level’’, he said.
He further said that he was overwhelmed at the airport by the way he was welcomed.
The rapper was impressed by the warm and welcoming nature of the Sierra Leonean people, saying that the experience has been truly life-changing.
Sierra Leone’s diamond hospitality has just been beyond anything that he expected, and expressed how really touched, he was.
“I can’t wait to come back and see more of this beautiful country,” the rapper said. Sierra Leone stole his heart. OG/8/1/2023
