Sierra Leone is the latest country that has been selected to participate in the Big Brother Africa show on DSTV for an incredible twist and turns that mega-hit reality TV franchise in Africa to be screened to 47 countries across the continent for 91 days on channel 198, sponsored by Coca-Cola.
The participation of Sierra Leone is as a result of several requests made by the over 550 DSTV subscribers in the country, Adonis Aboud DSTV-MultiChoice representative) stated at a press conference held over the weekend.
He said this season’s cash price is slated at USD$ 300,000 (three hundred thousand United States Dollars) and urged Sierra Leoneans aged 21 with valid passports to apply.
Mr. Aboud went on to explain that applicants can enter with another person as pair for the season 7 but advised that both partners must come from the same country.
He also cautioned that entrants must be fun-loving, vocal, creative, original and articulate. In addition all entrants must be socially flexible to live in close proximity with others and must be tolerant of views and lifestyles other than their own.
The series is expected to commence on Sunday, May 6 this year with deadline for the submission of applications stated at February 22, 2012.
Interested persons can collect an entry form from the nearest MultiChoice office in the country or can alternatively enter by logging on to www.mnetafrica.com/bigbrother.
A team of judges are expected in the country by March for auditioning.
