Relegated Wusum Stars FC of Makeni, during a general meeting on Tuesday 8th April, appointed a new board and management that will handle the affairs of the team for the next few years.
The team has in the last two days made the headlines following the resignation of Wusum Stars FC Captain Alusine Abega Conteh, who accused the executive of incompetence, ineptitude and not seeking the welfare of the players.
Newly appointed Team Manager Mohamed Sheriff Tarawally said the new Wusum Stars FC board comprised 12 members including Dr. Richard Conteh (Chief of Staff-State House); Alhassan Kanu (Chairman-Decentralization Committee); Abdul Kalokoh (Road Maintenance) and the Mayor of Makeni City Council.
Mohamed Sheriff Tarawally said members of the management committee include Mohamed Chika Bangura – secretary general to be assisted by Edward Mansaray; Mohamed Conteh-Welfare Officer; Abu Bakarr Kamara and Mohamed Papa Kamara-PRO; Memunatu Koroma- Financial Secretary; Alhaji Samura- Treasurer and Muctarr Bangura-Assistant Team Manager.
