White House won the second edition of Camp Kenema athletics sports meet that took place on Friday June 15 2018, at K-school field, Kenema with 254 points. Blues House came in second position with 230 points. Yellow House came third position with 220 points. Green House came fourth position with 219 points.
Augustin Samai won the 100m in 10:89 seconds. Sam Fatorma won the 200m in 21: 61 seconds and Tonia Tawarally won 100m 12: 78 second and 200m 25:34 seconds.
Thomas Joe won the 400m in 50:21. Fatmata Sefoi won the 1,500m in 4′ 26: 23 second, 800m 2’87 :46 second and 400m 56: 76 second
Junior London won 1500m in 4’00:35. While Christian Gendemeh won the long jump and Alpha Forana 800m 1’45:23.
Augustine Samai, who won the 100m said he was determined to maintain his position as the fastest male in the Eastern Region, which he was able to achieve because he was determined and said he is still looking for more competition were he will try to reduce is time.
Tonia Tawarally who is the fastest female athlete in the region said she is happy to retain is tittle but plan to try more harder not only for national competition but also for international competition because she want to make impact internationally.
Eastern Region head coach Elongima Joseph Amara said the sports meeting will served as a step in stone for the national championship and helping my Athletes to know their personal best time.
And for the community people, it have increase their love in athletic over the past months because of the commitment of both the athletes and the executive members of the region.
The sports was well organized and new personal best time was discovered from the athletes.
