The newly elected President of the Sierra Leone National Cycling Association (SLNCA), Percy Nicholson, has called for unity and support from his Association. He said, “we need to work as a team to achieve the aims and objectives of the association”. Nicholson said, “the reason we want everybody to come on board is because the Association is not a one man show. The Association belongs to all of us”. He made this statement while he was addressing the cycling family at the first general meeting of the Cycling Association held recently at the Atlantic Hall of the Siaka Steven Stadium in Freetown. The newly elected Cycling Executive has developed several committees, which will include more members and ensure members contribute to the Association’s development. Nicholson added that this is the first time members have been invited to participate and received appointment letters to various committees. President Nicholson also revealed that for the first time the Association has appointed three coaches that will be in charge of senior and junior riders. Nicholson said, “Every member has a role to play for the betterment of the Cycling Association. You were looking for a positive change this time around that is what I will bring. I will bring everybody on board both new and old cyclists together. The Cycling Association is open to new members. Bicycle riders who want more information or want to join the Association should call the president, Percy Nicholson at 077 584831. By Bernard Turay Monday October 17, 2016
