The Western Area Football Association (WAFA) has postponed the Western Area Football Referees Association (WAFRA) elective congress slated for 3rd June, 2014 at the Football Academy in Kingtom.
Speaking to this medium on the postponement of the election, Secretary General of WAFA, Kasho Holland Cole said the decision came out to uphold the election due to the petition made by some elite referees in the region.
The petition highlights the lack of an audited financial report, lack of proper list of delegates and commissioners to conduct the election.
“It is in this regard that we decided to postpone the election so that both parties will come and resolve their issues,” Kasho said. He added as the WAFRA is under the supervision of WAFA is their mandate to supervise transparent election in the region constitutionally.
