The Sierra Leone Athletics Association U-18 and U-20 athletes have started training ahead of the 3rd African Under-18 Championships (U18) and the 14th African Under-20 Championships (U20) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Republic of Côte d’Ivoire) next month. According to Coach Abu Bakarr Kumalo, all the athletes are in high spirits to execute the training workouts. Coach Harold Palmer, Coach Musa A. Sandy, Coach Alim Kamara and Coach Momoh Morrie are the coaches designated for training. Coach Harold said there are three departments: the sprint, quarter milers, short middle distance and distance runners. Coach Abu Bakarr Kumalo is in charge for the short middle distance and distance runners. The Coaches for Sprint departments are: Alim Kamara, Halold Palmer, and Momoh Morrie. Coach of the quarter milers: Musa A. Sandy. Alim Kamara said the training days are as follows: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays starting from 6:45 a.m.
