Two Pupils Emmanuel Vandy Sheriff of United Methodist Church (UMC) School in Goderich and Franklyna Blessing Turay of Methodist Girls High School won the Iba-Mbaye scholarship organized by the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone.
Both pupils receive Scholarship package which comprises of Seven hundred and fifty thousand (Le750, 000, 00) note books and a pair of bag each.
This fellowship took place last year November from the 2-4th where 20 pupils from four schools took part in the fellowship camp during the fellowship camp they took part in various activities including athletics, teaching them the Olympic value, computer skill and arts.
According to the Director of Olympicafrica Frank Turay, he said he was happy for the two pupils who were able to win the maiden edition of the Fellowship camp and those who have won it will defend it this year.
He said that the Fellowship Camping took a holistic look at the development of the young children, focusing on athletes Olympism and education in Olympic values among other disciplines.
He also revealed that all the pupils who participated were given equal opportunities to participate in all the activities under the careful and professional guidance of lecturers and expert coaches in the field of athletics.
One of the pupils Franklyna Blessing Turay said she was very happy to be one of awardees for the scholarship which she thank God for.
And appeal to her colleagues that took part in the Fellowship camp to be courageous as they are all winners.
The other pupil Emmanuel Vandy Sheriff said he is been taking care off by a single parent, that show how this scholarship is important to him and want to give God all the glory for such opportunity.
He said this is the first scholarship he has won and winning this one was not a surprise to him because he did everything possible to make sure he won the scholarship.
