A local football expert, Ibrahim Kamara, who has been following Sierra Leone foreign players aboard, said because of the outstanding performance of Tejan Bah he needs a call to the National Team Leone Stars ahead of their next match in the AFCON against Ethiopia.
22-year old Bah has expressed desire to represent his home country Sierra Leone to get to the big stage of African football after almost a twenty three years absence in the African Nation Cup.
“Thank God I had a successful knee surgery which at one time was on verge scrapping my career, but am now physically fit ready to give my best for club and country”, Tejan explained. He said he is determined to face the challenges that lie ahead in playing for his country which he says, is sometimes not easy for young players like him citing the poor scouting system the country has in inviting players for national duty.
Morlai Kargbo, a journalist, said they have been in a very fine form so far this term for his club Västerhaninge IF in the Swedish third-tier football league. Bah, who plays in the upper side of midfield has helped his side to 29 points in a possible 36 after 12 matches including a “man of the match” winning performance on recently after an impressive 6-0 away victory to MälarhöjdenHägersten FF. Västerhaninge IF are presently on top of the league’s standing.
