One of Sierra Leone renowned volleyball clubs, the Solar Spikers will organize an inter-community volleyball competition in Wilberforce.
The competition has been slated for the 3 – 5 November according to the Organizing Secretary of the Club, Michael Bangura. He said that the tournament is for Solar players only as a way of encouraging the players to be committed to the club.
He went further to thank Major General S. Sesay for sponsoring the competition and for the help he has given to the club over the years.
The Organizing Secretary said that the club is organizing the competition to scout players for the upcoming friendly matches in Bo next week.
The Public Relations Officer, Karifa Kello Thoronka, appealed to players in and out of the Wilberforce barracks to take part in the competition. He said this particular competition is only for the males. The club will organize friendly matches for their ladies to play against other volleyball clubs before their friendly matches in Bo.
