Sierra Leone Sports: SLFA Constitutional Review Committee calls for Congress

A member of the SLFA Constitutional Review Committee, Foday Turay, who is also the Vice Chairman of Western Area Football Association(WAFA) has written a letter to the scribe of the football Association asking them to call SLFA Mini congress in pursuant to article 26.1 & 2 of the SLFA statutes which reads: According to Foday Turay the ordinary congress shall be held annually in the second quarter of every year. And the Executive Committee shall name the place and date. The members shall be notified in writing at least forty-five (45) days in advance. He stated that as a member of the SLFA Constitutional Review Committee and Vice Chairman of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA), I would like to bring to your notice that the forty-five (45) days in advance notification has elapsed since 16th May instant. He went further that in the interest of promoting good governance and bringing sanity into our game, I advice that issues bordering on statutory must be treated.
