Sierra Leone Boxing Association (SLBA) is looking forward to this year’s Ringside World Championship at the Independence Events Center, Missouri Valley in USA.
The championship is the largest Amateur Boxing Tournament in the world, bringing boxers from around the Globe. The organizers are targeting 1,500 boxers worldwide.
According to the invitation letter sent to SLBA every boxer should have a letter from his or her association before they can partake in the championship.
The letter stated that all boxers should be insured or pay $5. per day for each boxer including the officials. The delegation will also be insured for every travelling date.
The President of the Sierra Leone Boxing Association, Eric Dura Sesay responding to the invitation letter, said he will be part of the selection team to select the best among the country’s boxers, noting that this is an opportunity to expose boxers to professional boxing. The championship has been slated for 28th July- 2nd August 2014.
