Diamond Stars Football Club are now in politics, if steps are not taken quickly.
This will destroy the club as both the chairman of the club PC George Bockarie Torto and the team manager Chief Sahr are not seeing eye to eye all because of Politics.
According to information reaching Awoko Sports, PC George Bockarie Torto is supporting the Vice President Chief Samuel Sumana, while Chief Sahr Quee is supporting the minister of Local government Diana Konomani this rivalry has been brought into the club which is not good for the team.
On Monday July 29th 2013 the chairman of the club, P.C George Bockarie Torto has signed a resolution with nine other Premier league clubs not to honor any fixtures of the Salone Premier League because of the decision taken by the Normalization Committee to disqualify five candidates not to participate in the SLFA elective congress slated for Saturday August 3rd 2013.
That did not go down well with the Team Manager of the club who gave instructions to the Secretary-General to write the Premier League Board that they are not part of such decision which has caused serious division within the club.
The question many people are asking between the chairman and the team manager who has authority over each other? Now observers are watching to see how the drama will end and if Diamond Stars will continue with the league or not.
