The leading Betting and Lottery company in the country Mercury International on Monday 15th August 2016 has paid out to the 4th winner Martin Bangura in the 4/50 Jackpot which is the 68th edition.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the company Alhaji Komba said since the launching of the game in March this year this is the 4th winner of the Jackpot.
He also said this is another historical moment for them in Mercury as this time around the winner is coming from Lungi – this shows that they in Mercury are very transparent in anything they are doing.
He said the winner was supposed to take home one hundred and thirty three million Leones but with 10 percent going to NRA he will take home the sum of One hundred and Twenty Million twenty thousand two hundred and fifty Leones (120,020,250.00)
And thirteen Million Two hundred and seventy nine thousand eight hundred Leones will be paid to NRA which the company will do today Tuesday 16th August 2016.
The Chief Finance Officer of the company Ekundayo Rowe who represented the Managing Director of the company and the charitable foundation chairman said they always invite the press as they are partners in development and members of the general public to make sure that they show Transparency and Accountability to the process during draws and when paying their various winners.
He went further to reassure the press of the company’s good partnership he also revealed that the company will introduce other products which the press will also be invited to come on board.
He told the winner Martin Bangura to act as an ambassador as from today to give confidence to other customers.
The cheque was presented by the Operations Manager of the company. Receiving the cheque the winner Martin Bangura said he is a very happy man now. He said he was on his way to Lungi to accompany somebody to the airport and he was in a vehicle after crossing the ferry that he saw the red box and decided to tell the driver to stop the vehicle. He said he came out and bought five tickets which is ten thousand Leones and after returning when he watched the board he saw the numbers and thanked God for that and feels very proud of Mercury International.
He went further that he is going to share the message to other people who do not believe in Mercury that Mercury is real and they are very transparent in doing things.
