Chief executive Officer (CEO) and owner of the Lamboi Football Club, Augustine Lamboi, said he is very happy to win this year’s competition as this is his dream come true. He stated it was not easy for them as a team because in the opening ceremony of the competition they played against Fourah Bay Community where they lost by two goals to one (2-1). But, with the support of the community people, players and the technical team they trained very hard to reach to the grand final where they played Fourah Bay for the second time and they defeated them by a goal to nil (1-0) to emerge as the champion. The only goal was scored by Tejan Sillah in the 78thminute. He maintained that winning is very important to them as a team because since the formation of the team four years ago they have played in so many competitions in the Lungi community but they never won any major trophy. “So, I want to thank God for winning this year’s Kafu Bullom Promoters Association competition. Lamboi Football is a first division club from Lungi KafuBullum Chiefdom and they are now preparing for the first division competition, which will commence very soon. According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of East End Tigers, David Emile, they are going to play a friendly match against the best team in Lungi today Friday 18th January 2019. He said they have decided to play a friendly match with Lamboi FC because they have a very good team so the match today will be a serious test match for them ahead of the premier league that is expected to start next weekend.
