Sports

One of the candidates contesting for Sierra Leone National Cycling presidency Percy Nicholson who is the disciplinary Officer of the association has told this medium that he has what it takes to win the coming election hands down. He made this statement when he was addressing the cycling family in Lunsar and Bo respectively. He said the association needs change this time around which is positive change and he is going to give that change this time around no matter what happens. He stated that for the past years the association has been in the hand of a dictator who thinks he knows everything and want to take the association as his own personal property. That is why majority of the membership are not happy and they decided to bring him on board to contest for the presidency. He said even when he was not the president he has done a lot to develop the association. He also revealed that with the mess that was going he was thinking to take the venture before he was approached by members of the association who endorsed him to take the lead via a letter written to him, asking him to go for the presidential position ahead of the election on their behalf. He said since the membership have called on him to step forward, he will not fail them but fight to the last to gain the position and work in the interest of developing cycling.
