Ahead of the upcoming Western Area Football Association (WAFA) elective congress, one of the candidates for the treasurer position Noel Kitami Horton who is the acting chairman of Central Parade Football Club (CPFC) has told delegates that he has what it takes to become Western Area Football Association (WAFA) new treasurer.
According to Noel he has been in football management for some many many years and he has the wealth of experience in football administration especially in the area of manning finances.
Noel stated “My relationship with the delegates is very cordial. We’ve been together in the game for a very long time so they know my track record in terms of controlling finances”.
“If they vote me as their treasurer, my main plan is to see how best we can have a better financial system which the association lack at the moment”.
He also stated that if he is given the opportunity, he will work in the interest of WAFA.
Some delegates who spoke to this medium said “We know the person we will be voting for. He has a very clean name when it comes to matters of controlling finances”.
“WAFA is a very big association so we need someone with good financial background and at the same time clean hands in controlling monetary issues.” “We trust Noel very much and we know if we give him the opportunity of holding that position by massively voting for him in our election he will perform his job correctly as a standard treasurer based on his experience, “the delegates admitted However, Noel will be running for the position of treasurer against James Fofanah and Agustine M. Kambo in the election scheduled for 15th -16th July 2016.
