
One of Sierra Leone elite cyclists, Augustine Sesay, said he is more than prepared to win this year’s Northern Cycling Championship ahead of his archrival, Suleiman Bah.
Sesay, who failed to win the first edition, said he is desperate to win this one in a very good time to break the record set by Moses Sesay during the first edition.
Sesay said that is why he is more focused and prepared to achieve that goal at all cost no matter want condition he is under he always train in the morning at least 3 hours effectively for the past weeks now to put himself in a very good shape.
Sesay stated that he will like the challenges he will be having during the race has ever cyclists will be looking forward to defeat him which is not going to be possible that why he trains a lot to have a lot of endurance that will keep him alive.
The Organizing Secretary, Solomon Collier, said this particular championship is going to be one of the best as the race is going to have a lot of power as all the cyclists want to win. The race is organized by the association and will serve as trials for the coming international competitions.
Solomon also stated that apart of the 1st September race from Freetown to Kambia the association will also have another ride on 3rd of September in the township for the locals of the district to give them chance to showcase their talent.
And from there the technical team will scout the ones with potential and assign coaches to them that will start training them for both local and international competition
