The Public Relation Officer of the Single Leg Amputee Sports Club (SLASC) Albert Mustapha told Awoko Sports in an exclusive interview that Football for Hope Forum in Brazil was a blessing.
He said he was able to learn a lot from the four day forum that took place in June 26-29 2013.
Practitioners and stakeholders from around the world came together to explore the commitment of football for social development and to help determine the way forward for Football for Hope
According to Albert Mustapha, the Football for Hope Forum is a unique opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with the world’s leading professionals in developing the game through grassroots organizations working at community level to sports governing bodies, global corporations and other institutions.
The four day programme include presentations, workshops and training sessions covering the most important issues relating to football’s contribution, social development as well as the legacy of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. Other activities included a cultural programme in Belo Horizonte and attendance at one of the semi-finals venue of the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013.
He also revealed that he was in Brazil representing the Single Leg Amputee Sports Club.
