Former Real Republican, Police and U-17 national player,Alhaji Musa Elijah Kamara, has set his sight on a national team coaching job ranging from U17 to Leone Stars.
Kamara, who is based in the United States of America expressed his interest in taking over as head coach of Sierra Leone national team, Leone Stars. He said, he wouldn’t mind starting with the U-17 side first.
Kamara expressed his frustration over the current status of the national team, stating, “Leone Stars will not in any way produce good results or qualify to the AFCON and World Cup because of the corruption surrounding the team.”
He is claiming he is the only person able to clean up the mess as a qualified coach and disciplined man. He said, “As former player I’m disappointed with the manner at which the activities of our national team are being run”.
“There is no structure, and for me I want to put that straight. Without proper structure the boys will not perform to the expectations of the football loving fans. I aim to bring a lasting change that will see us play and win matches; but also qualify for major competitions to compete for laurels against other nations like we use to do before,” Elijah asserts.
As a certified, licensed C, B and A coach, his objective is to build a reputable team with his coaching abilities, athletics background, discipline and playing experience.
Under Kamara’s watchful eye, Phoenix Arizona team was outstanding in last season first division league. He led them to the semi-finals despite they were unlucky to make it through to finals after Sara Stars of Philadelphia knocked them out.”
“Every coach will be interested in coaching his national team, that’s they only way he will feel the real passion of the game. It is the biggest achievement one could get in his entire career”.
Elijah is known for his strong training and supervising skills, to scout and identify players with natural skills and talent, superb motivating and coordinating skills, his aptitude in recognizing and working on players weaknesses and strengths and his outstanding leadership with great potential to produce results.
