The media committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has revealed to the public that the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has appointed two Sierra Leonean into two different committees.
Emmanuel Sesay said their appointment came about in the last Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) executive committee meeting held in Accra on the 23rd of September 2017. A list of approved new compositions of CAF standing committee for the cycle of 2017-2019.
CAF has appointed the following individuals from Sierra Leone to serve in the following committees: the Sierra Leone Football Association, General Secretary Christopher Kamara, has been appointed to serve in the Committee for legal affairs and National Associations
Former Vice President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Mayor J.S. Kelfala has been appointed CAF member to the Youth Africa Cup of Nations U-17, U-20, U-23
James Kamara said the appointments are fine but for the case of the former Vice President, Mayor J.S. Kelfala to be part of the youth committee they should have given a younger person that opportunity.
