A-37 man handball delegation is expected to depart the shores of Freetown today Thursday, 3rd July 2014 for Mali to compete in this year’s Challenged Trophy. The competition has been slated for the 7-14th July 2014.
The delegation includes 13 officials with executive members, coaches and referees; and 24 players including 12 male and 12 female. Some of the officials will participate in courses.
During the week competition, Sierra Leone is expected to participate alongside seven other countries: Mali, Senegal, Cape Verde, Mauritania, Guinea (Conakry) and Guinea Bissau but the draw is expected to be made two days ahead of the competition.
The delegation will be headed by the Vice President of the Handball Association, Alusine Osaio Kamara and the others will include, Abu Bakarr Sesay, Head Coach, Christopher Femi Cole, Assistant Coach, Mawlaya Kamara, Assistant Coach, Aminata Turay, Chaperone, Kadie Mawundeh, Assistant Coach, Michael A. P. Bangura, Course Referee, Mohamed Sahr Koroma, Course Referee, Jenneh Mustapha, Course Coach, Abu Bakarr Bangura, Course Coach, Amidu Koroma, Course Coach, Glen Felix George, Course Coach.
The male players include: Josephus Bangura, Abu Kamara, Alvin Daniel Musa, David Bell, Abu Koroma, Abu Bakarr Bangura, Mohamed Alie Sannoh, Omarr Sesay, Teddy Maxwell, Dalinton Musa, Alhassan Conteh, Idrissa Bangura.
Female players are: Zainab Sesay, Mary Squire, Francess Kargbo, Mariama Ajami, Dulcy Solomon, Lucian Sam, Fanta Amara, Haja Conteh, Jamin Borbor, Neneh Koroma, Saudatu Mansaray and Isatu Dumbuya
