The long awaited Sierra Leone Boxing Association elective congress is expected to take place this Saturday August 17th 2013 at the National Stadium Presidential Lounge in Freetown.
During the one day congress, 13 delegates are expected to cast their votes for 8 positions and they will determine the fate of the association for the next four years. These 13 delegates are clubs and Regional Boxing Associations.
The 8 positions that will be contested for are President, Executive Vice President, Secretary General, Treasurer and 4 Ex-Officio Members.
According to reliable information reaching this medium, states that the congress is going strictly with the AIBA constitution for the good of the association. The election is expected to be supervised by the National Olympic Committee and the National Sports Council.
