Sierra Leone referees have officiated in this year’s WAFU U-17 tournament in Senegal.
According to the information, Swahib Bangura and Ibrahim Bah were part of the referees that officiated the match between the Baby Scorpions of Gambia and Mauritania in the ongoing WAFU U-17 championship in Senegal.
Swahib Bangura was the Central Referee and Ibrahim Bah, the Assistant Referee 1.
Meanwhile, two other Sierra Leoneans are also giving technical support to the activities in the ongoing championship, including; Mohamed Bowen Freeman, Security Officer and Alhaji Sanusi Rashid, Referee Assessor, bringing their number to four.
According to the media team of the football association, Sierra Leone will for the first time in her history be having a referee officiating matches in the upcoming Under-20 Nations Cup.
Michael King will depart for host nation Mauritania in the coming days.
