The Minister of Youth Affairs, Alimamy Kamara and his Aide, Bai Mahmoud Bangura, last Saturday at the Miatta Conference Hall were awarded by Fourah Bay College (FBC) Students of the Madrugar Social Club during their Beauty Pageant.
The award was presented to the Minister by no less a person than the Youth Ambassador and Guest of Honor of the program, Junior Navo. He said he was highly honored to decorate the Minister of Youth Affairs as “The best performing Minister of the year”. Junior Navo appreciated the Minister as “a young and dynamic fine man with a big heart.” He described him as “very ambitious and always working hard to be successful.”
He encouraged the Minister to continue to work in the interest of the youth and availed himself to work with him at all times whenever called upon. Mr. Navo said he will continue to work with youth in the country to help them achieve their dreams.
The Minister in his response said having such an award from an esteemed students’ club such as the Madrugar Club is precious to him. He thanked them for the recognition and said the award has motivated him to do more for the youth of this country.
Many people present at the show likened Minister Kamara to President Ernest Bai Koroma as a go-getter, an approach they said the Minister has adopted to register successes in his new Ministry.
There were many accolades given to many other people including best entrepreneur, best designer, best enjoyer and best music of the year.
