Adama Momoh, 20, of Vienema village in the Lower Bambara chiefdom, Kenema made her fourth appearance in Magistrate Court No. 1 before the presiding Magistrate Alhaji Sulaiman Koroma, charged with murder.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Alimu Koroma, from the Legal Justice and Support Department of the Kenema Police, the accused stabbed 18-year old Mariama Musu Sesay in the neck, on the 14th December 2018, in Vienema village. He said three witnesses testified in the Court, the mother of the deceased Musu Sesay, Police Detective Sergeant Marcel Kai who tendered the death certificate and the knife that is alleged to be the murder weapon. The accused admitted to the killing, and Baindu Mustapha, who met the accused standing in the darkness after committing the act. The accused explained that one of her friends, known as Flo, explained to her twice that the deceased is in love with her husband. It is alleged that the accused met the deceased and her husband at Musa Alpha’s place. Upon entering the room she stabbed the deceased on her neck. She was later arrested by the Police. P.I. Bangura is defending the accused and the matter was adjourned to 24 January 2019
