PPRC Boss
Late Hon. Justice Maitland Tolla- Thompson

The Acting Registrar for the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) Zainab Moseray, has described the late Chairman of the Commission as a man who believed in political pluralism.
She paid this tribute to her late boss in an interview on how staff of the Commission received news of his passing away.
Madam Moseray explained that “He complained of fatigue and decided to take a week off from work to get rest, and on the week he was supposed to return to his desk, we received the shocking news, which is like a dream to us”.
Questioned on what the late man was like to his staff, she stated, “The Hon. Justice Maitland Tolla- Thompson was not just the Chairman, but a figure-head that demonstrated leadership by example and showed fatherly love and concern for all, which earned him the name “Pa Tolla” in the Commission,” the acting PPRC Registrar stated.
She furthered that the late chairman was a great listener and respecter of all, regardless of race, tribe or religion, and as a God-fearing person, he will say, “Na God make we all, way you die na di same berin gron we all de go,” she reminisced with a smile.
On his working relationship with political parties, the Acting Registrar noted that the late Chairman Tolla-Thompson was an upright man, though not perfect, but he instilled the spirit of patriotism and encouraged staff of the Commission as well as members of political parties to resist those things that were dividing the nation.
Madam Moseray maintained that there are times when the late man will seat for hours to listen to political party disturbances and will always try to pursue a win-win situation between aggrieved parties and bring sanity in the political landscape.
He will encourage them to put away party differences aside and to see reason to settle all disputes in a peaceful manner.
