Foday Tommy Edwards is an ordinary Prisons Officer in Kailahun, Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. He has been a faithful subscriber of the Orange mobile network for a while now; however, Foday never thought of being the last lucky winner of the network’s promotional grand prize, which is a Keke plus a Le5 million cash prize.
On Saturday, the networks finished their Ramadan promotion with a grand draw that was held at its Rawdon Street office. Five lucky winners grabbed consolatory prices of a million Leones each.
Star Prize winner, Foday T. Edwards, though bemused about newly found fortune; he emphasized the “reliability of the network”.
Marketing Manager Pre-paid Offers, Abibatu Baxter, said it’s been a great Ramadan period and a great promotion throughout the blessed month of Ramadan. She said the promo should have ended “on Pray Day 16th June, however after mass appeal from subscribers, Orange decided to extend the promo to Saturday 30th June.”
On 11th May, Orange Sierra Leone launched the Babalaa Ramadan Campaign. At the launch the CEO of Orange Sierra Leone, Aminata Kane highlighted the networks partnership with CERRA Automotive importance of Ramadan and why the company decided to run a campaign during this period.
Also, the CEO of CERRA Automotive, Chabel khoury mentioned that the partnership with Orange on this campaign is as a result of the company’s credibility and outstanding customer relationship, which his company greatly appreciates.
