The meeting scheduled for Thursday 19 April 2018 during which the official swearing of the newly elected Members of Parliament and the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker are expected to take place has been adjourned to Thursday 26 April 2018.
This information was communicated through a letter from the Office of the Clerk of Parliament Hon. Paran Umar Tarawally date Tuesday 17 April 2018.
According to the letter the reason for the postponement was as a result of delay in the publication of the National Gazette relating to Members of Parliament as a measure for Preliminary Parliamentary arrangements concerning the commencement of the First Session of the Fifth Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
