At the over crowded courtroom on Thursday, women mostly in their mid-age were weeping as five shaggy and thin boys walked into the dock.
The accused looked desperate and remorseful as charges of Murder and Conspiracy to Murder was levied against them by the Court.
The State alleges that Sinneh Sesay, Sheriff Gibrilla Sesay, Ibrahim Abubakarr Turay, Ibrahim Kanu and Alhaji Desmond Conteh identified as members of a clique group known as MOB killed Tom Davies at Tengbeh Town on 30 March 2017.
Testifying before Magistrate Binneh Kamara, Sheika Karbgo, the first prosecution witness, revealed that after the second accused stabbed the deceased in the chest, the other accused also chased and stabbed the deceased.
“I was held by other gang members. I watched the accused persons hold the deceased tightly and the second accused eventually stabbed him.”
The witness further revealed that the accused during the said act, had assorted weapons including knives, bottles and a human bone in their possession.
As the witness narrated the ugly incident, Magistrate Kamara refused bail to the accused. The matter was adjourned to 26 May 2017.
