My experiences in Sierra Leone are getting better, I love going out, especially with friends. I enjoy the outdoors. I finally got a chance to hang out in Aberdeen with my brothers. We went to a lounge called Roy’s Lounge and I was impressed. Unlike America, you can stay at the restaurants here as long as you want and no one pesters you.
We arrived at Roy’s Lounge across the street from Lumley Beach. We went in and ordered drinks, I was impressed because it was near the beach and I love anything that has to do with the beach. But what stood out to me the most was the menu. I was shocked about the prices, everything ended in thousands.
At first, I really thought the items on the menu cost thousands of dollars but then my brothers explained to me that in US dollars, it didn’t cost much even though it seemed like much. I had a really fun time having drinks and talking. Next, I wanted to experience the beach.
We went to Lumley Beach and I was immediately disappointed. The beach was littered with trash badly and there was seaweed everywhere. Nevertheless, I still experienced the water, it was unusually cold but the water was unclear. I left early disappointed because I would think here would be clean and clear. I had fun regardless, I got to experience the leisure of Sierra Leone for that first time, I still have yet to see and experience.
