Sierra Leone News: Mercury Int.boosts SLAA with over Le39 Million

Bakarr & Mansaray with the chequeMercury International has boosted Sierra Leone Athletics Association (SLAA) on Wednesday 13th July 2016 with the sum of Le39,426,000 to compete in this year’s IAAF U-20 championship in Poland slated for 17th -25th July 2016.
The money will cover the fare of one athlete Ishmael D Kamara and one official Abu Bakarr to Abuja to secure a visa before flying to Poland.
Receiving the cheque the Public Relations Officer of the SLAA said they were looking forward to such boosts from Mercury International which they have received in the eleventh hour to make the trip become a reality.
He said that the championship is very important to the association at this point in time as they want to expose the athlete ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio.
