Business

Lumley Community over the weekend embarked on massive cleaning exercise, starting with the two cemeteries. The councillor, Percy Nicolson said it has taken about a year some months now that they have been unable to clear the cemetery because of the ebola. He said now that they have resumed the cleaning exercise they will make sure that after any 3 to 6 months the cemeteries are cleaned. He stated that for the cleaning exercise, the community people, the Freetown City Council and friends of Fadika provided the funding for the cleaning which, according to him, it was a success because the community youth and leaders cooperated fully. According to Nathuma Samura, ‘Friends of Fadika’ thought it fit to come on board as they want to see the Lumley community clean and they will not only stop at the cemeteries but will respond whenever they are called upon to clean the community . This, she said, will not be the first or the last because ‘Friend of Fadika’ want to see every part in the community is clean. Tuesday December 08, 2015
