One of Sierra Leones outstanding legal luminary Nasiru Deen Tejan-Cole had been summoned home after a brief illness past Friday.
He was perhaps the longest serving Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) in the Law Officers Department. He is reputed to have groomed a notable group of Lawyers which includes former Chief Justice and current High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Umu Hawa Tejan-Jalloh, Justice N.C. Browne-Marke, Gloria Atiba-Davies, the late Akie Barber and even the current Attorney General Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara.
Until his demise, despite his age he was regularly seen at his Percival Street office, where he reportedly felt ill during his last visit past Friday.
A devoted Muslim, it is expected that he would be laid to rest at the Kennedy Street cemetery.
