A nine man Investigation Team into the fracas between the Sierra Leone Police, Bo and the Bike Riders Association starts today.
The team that comprises of the Ombudsman, Civil Society, Attitudinal and Behavioural Change, Human Rights Commission among others is to look at the “root causes” of the stand-off between the Police and Bike Riders in Bo.
The Investigation Team is headed by a Bo Civil Society member ‘Daboh’ with Mohamed Fofanah as the Secretary-General.
The committee shall be taking mainly into consideration the “Bo June 4th incident; the Administration of the Bike Riders Union and the Grievances against the police.”
The 9-man team Secretary, Mohamed Fofanah who is also the Human Rights Commissioner South told Awoko that ”the investigation is going to be swift.” The team he went on to explain is not “leaving any stone unturned.”
