Three youths of the trouble-spot, ‘Shelmingo’ have been arrested for allegedly beating a young man to death.
The youth who is in his 20s and who is a former student of Christ the King College, Bo, and also a sibling of the renowned Sierra Leonean female artist Felicia Grant, the police and parents explained that some boys “nearly beat the youngman to death, while walking home on Wednesday June 25 in the night.
The man who is now deceased was rushed to the Bo Government Hospital where he died.
Some area people also interviewed by Awoko alleged that he was trying to take some scrap metals from a garage along Old Koribondo Road in the Shelmingo Section.
Others also claimed that that his friends fought him, over an issue involving the late youth’s girlfriend.
The three youths all of whom are acquaintances to Emmy Grant, all of whom reside in the Shelmingo section are, Hassan Jalloh, Karim Tarawally and Aruna Sesay.
The three who are in the Shelmingo Bo East Division of the Sierra Leone Police cell are helping the police with further investigations.
The body of the deceased however remains at the mortuary of the Bo Government Hospital awaiting the arrival of his sister.
