Four accused, Emmanuel Johnson, Mohamed Koroma, Mohamed Sesay and Kenei Momoh were on Wednesday 31st July 2013 sentenced to three months imprisonment for stealing copper wires.
The accused made their last appearance before the acting presiding magistrate Mohamed Alhaji Momoh-Jah Stevens at the Kenema magistrate court on two counts charges.
According to the prosecutor ASP Sahr Didi Lahai of the legal and Justice support department of the Kenema police division, the accused were on 12th July 2013 along Maxwell Khobe street in Kenema city, found in possession of certain items and were taken to the Kenema police station and later charged to court.
They were charged for unlawful possession of some quantity of copper wire and three long iron pipes. Also Kenei Momoh was charged for carrying an offensive weapon.
They were found guilty of the offences and each was sentenced to three months imprisonment or to pay the sum of (Le500,000) five hundred thousand Leones.
