Speaking at the church ground at Hastings, the Minster of the Thunder Hill congregation, Brother Samuel Albert Bangura said that as a minister of the gospel of Christ he was able to preach the gospel at Hastings after which the Hastings congregation was born.
He went on to say that during this time, he noticed that there were so many disables in the said community who are in need of moving equipment. “I recommended for about forty-five wheel chairs to our brothers in America but today, we have been blessed with seventy one”, he explained. In addition, he stated that they have also received Bibles and other assorted goods that where to be distributed to every recipient.
“None of these things will be sold, we will make sure we distribute everything to the right people,” he assured.
Praying for God to help the beneficiaries understand the Bible, he encouraged them to live a life that is pleasing to God.
Simeon Kamara is the Chairman of the Polio Home in Grafton. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, he said that they are very pleased to receive such gifts from the Church of Christ. He explained that most of their colleagues lose their moving equipment during the cause of the ebola being that their items were damaged beyond repairs.
“For the Church of Christ to bring such aid to us in the Western Rural communities, we are really happy,” he maintained.
The beneficiaries include Cheshire Home, Polio Home Grafton and residents of Hastings community which include members of the church, among others.
