China Kinghohas donated 44motorbikes to more than15 different villages and various stakeholders within Pujehun District as a response to community people’s continuous support and cooperation for the company.
China Kingho donation serves as not only a goodwill return, buta brilliant fulfillment of their corporate social responsibility to the host community.
The 44 motorbikes are mainly distributed to the chiefs and representatives of the community, who are the real custodians of the land.
The motorbikes were also distributed to three health centers which play a key role in people’s life, and also to some government institutions, including District Office Administration, District Council Administration, Environmental Protection Agency office in Bo, PujehunPolice Station.
While the public transport is still not popular in most of the rural areas in Pujehun District, undoubtedly, the motorbikes will facilitate the public on the daily going-out activities or missions of villagers and other institutions.
Handing over the donation China Kingho Company Consultant Patrick Kaikai said the donation is to further strengthen the relationship between the company and the people.
He said the motorbikes will be used by stakeholders to attend the company activities in the District.
He also said that some government offices in Pujehun are without transportation to carry out their duties within the District and that the donation is aimed at complementing government efforts.
He also said that with the China Kingho Motorbikes stakeholders can now travel miles around the district to do their work.
The China Kingho Company Consultant Patrick Kaikai called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the motorbikes as the company will not be responsible for any repairs of the motorbikes.
He also cautioned against misuse of the donated motorbikes by stakeholders and advised that only important activities within the District should warrant the use of the bikes.
He said a proper monitoring mechanism will be put in place in collaboration with all stakeholders in the District to ensure that the motorbikes are used for their intended purpose.
Hon. Dickson Rogers on behalf of his constituents expressed profound thanks and appreciation to China Kingho for the donation, as it will help to address transportation constraints faced by local authorities while working for the District.
He said China Kingho is a true partner of the government and people of Sierra Leone and assured that the people of Pujehun will continue to embrace the company for a successful operation in the District.
