The Chiefdom speaker of Sulima, Koinadugu district has been re-instated after his suspension nearly a year ago.
The colorful ceremony took place in Falaba, the chiefdom headquarter.
According to PC. Fenda Modu Kamara of Folosaba Dembelia chiefdom, Koinadugu district, who was the caretaker chief of Sulima and member of the Inclusive District Peace and Development Committee (IDPDC), the chiefdom speaker Manga Sorie Samura was suspended by the late Paramount Chief of Sulima, Manga Salifu Samura 111 for violating the then ebola bye laws.
Chief Manga Samura was also suspended alongside four acting section chiefs on the same offence. The District Officer, Ajina Musa Mansaray, together with executive members of IDPDC have been working very hard to restore peace and unity in that part of the country, holding series of meetings to prevail on the Late Chief to reinstate the suspended chiefs.
After several meetings and negotiations, a decision was reached by the District Office through the efforts of IDPDC.
A Regent Chief of Sulima has also been named. He is Manga Momodu Samura. He is has already been sworn in.
Also the four acting suspended section chiefs will now have to contest if they want to enter the race for the election of section chiefs would have started.
