Africa Young Voice’s (AYV) and Zedzee Multimedia have come together to produce a reality TV show dubbed “big sister Sierra Leone”. The show will host ten female housemates for 30-days. Auditions will start on 14 July 2018.
During the launch on Thursday 21 June 2018, the owner of ZedZee Entertainment, Zainab Sheriff, said, “I have had this dream for over four years but I was waiting for the right person to come along as partner. Having Junior Navo as partner will make my dream a reality.”
Sheriff said the first reality TV show in Sierra Leone will cost $250,000 USD and the eventually winner of the maiden show will go home with a brand new car. Housemates will be paid Le100,000 throughout the period of the show.
She said Sierra Leoneans are entertained by foreigners. “It is now time for Sierra Leone to join the band wagons in the field of entertainment,” she said.
According to the President of AYV, Anthony Navo Junior, the essence of AYV is to create a platform for young people to showcase their talent. He said Sheriff’s idea is worth supporting.
He said the project came at a time when he is about to launch his entertainment channel. He said the main reason for partnering with the actress, singer and sexual commentator is because the show is about young people empowerment. He added that girls between the ages of 18 and 35 will be encouraged. Navo said the housemates will be selected by a professional panel and will be engaged in activities in the house. AYV will broadcast the show for 24 hours a day. He promised Sierra Leoneans a decent and well organised show. MJB/23/6/18
