A Local Non-Governmental Organization; Ben Hirsh Child Care Centre and Women Development, has ended a one-day training on Ebola for traditional healers in Kenema.
Making a statement at the Council Hall situated along Nyandeyama Road, the Executive Director for Ben Hirsch Child Care, Haja Musu Bureh said that the purpose of the training is to enlighten traditional healers in the district about the deadly Ebola virus.
She viewed that traditional healers are at risk, as they also get in contact with sick people in their communities.
She stated that the training will help them understand the dynamics of the Ebola virus and how it can be transmitted.
She added that during the course of the training, they (traditional healers) will be trained on how to protect themselves and their respective communities from contracting the virus.
