The Coordinator of Veterans of Politicians in the All Peoples Congress Party Mohamed Adekalie Bangura, who doubles a Presidential Aide to President Koroma has categorically stated that “being Vice President to President Koroma does not automatically make you to succeed him.”
Bangura told Awoko that it is left with the delegates to decide who will succeed President Koroma, adding, “even becoming a minister or director does not also make them to succeed him.”
According to him, the president has made it crystal clear to everyone it was during the APC delegate conference that he was elected as the flag bearer of the party and subsequently elected by the people of the country to rule them.
“President Koroma is not supporting any person to be the flag bearer of APC party as it is the delegates that decide,” Bangura said, adding that the people are saying that the person that should succeed President Koroma should be a grassroots politician that is liked by all and sundry as the people of this country like President Koroma.
He said that he totally supports the statement being made in some quarters that APC is not for sale, and that he is quite sure that the person that will succeed the president will continue with the good work of president Koroma.
