The accused Abdul Raka Thollie, who had earlier confessed before Justice Miatta Samba in the High Court that he deed killed the deceased; Mustapha Barrie will be finally sentenced on the 19th February, 2016.
The accused charged with manslaughter was arraigned before Judge Samba on 29th January, 2016.
After Legal Aid Counsel C. Blake had pleaded with the Judge to tamper justice with mercy for the accused, the Judge requested that the accused apologise to the court and the father of the deceased.
In respect to the Judge’s request, the accused said he had no intention to kill the deceased stating that this was the first time he is being named in such an act.
He said the deceased was his good neighbour and was not expecting that his confrontation with him will result in his death.
The accused pleaded with the Judge to forgive him adding that he had learnt his lesson and will never be involved in any such problem in future.
He also apologised to the father and pleaded for his mercy in the name of God Almighty.
