Sierra Leone News: Alleged family murder trial continues…

On Wednesday, Zainab Bangura testified before the Court that the body of 28-year old Patrick Bangura was found dead in a pit toilet at his at residence in Tengbeh town after eleven days missing.
The witness further revealed that on that the body of the deceased was embalmed with diesel upon discovering it at around 4:00 p.m. on the 16th April 2016.
Zainab Bangura continued that an exhibit of diesel container, bloody clothes, human hair were found in a freezer owned by the first accused, Yalie Bangura, a sister to the deceased upon a search warrant done by some police officers.
Zainab Bangura, during her testimony, narrated the story of a property saga between the accused persons and the deceased.
According to the prosecution, Yalie Bangura, Sholley Renner and David Sesay conspired to murder the deceased on 11th April 2016.
“With the death of our father, the property was entrusted in the hands of the deceased but the decision didn’t go well with the accused persons.” Zainab said.
During discussions about the property, Zainab added, the third accused threatened to kill the deceased on several occasions.
The disappearance of the deceased occurred exactly a day before the third accused, who was the initial caretaker of the property promised to handover the said property to the deceased and his siblings.
Meanwhile, the third accused was restricted of his bail based on the judge submission that third accused used threaten remarks to kill the deceased exactly a day before the deceased sudden demise.
The matter was adjourned to the next Wednesday.
