On Wednesday 10 May 2017, the State alleged that Alimamy Turay, Mohamed Kamara Santigie Bundu Hassan Momoh Kamara, in broad daylight, attacked Mercury Lottery International cash collection and payment centre at 35 Main Motor Road, Wellington. Meanwhile, all the accused persons have denied the allegations.
The accused persons are charged with robbery with aggravation, wounding with intent, assault occasion actual bodily harm, carrying of offensive weapon and possession of small arms without license, and receiving stolen property on five different files.
It is alleged that the accused persons, armed with arms and ammunitions, on diverse dates in 2017 attacked a petrol station at Mammah Village, Mercury-Wellington outlet, Marforki Total Petrol Station, Leonco Petrol Station.
On Tuesday, two final prosecution witnesses testified and submitted evidence of bullet and cutlass to the Court.
Abubakarr Fornah, a fuel attendant at Leonco, Mammah Village narrated to the Court how the accused persons attacked and went way with a bag of cash, computers, phones and leaving his boss unconscious after being shot in the neck by one of the accused.
Idrissa Mambu, a police officer, has also tendered the evidence of bullet and cutlass that were found at the scene after the incident.
The Court has recorded the testimonies of several witnesses on the said files.
Magistrate Albert Moody, after the testimonies of the two final witnesses, has submitted that the matter to the High Court.
