As the Muslim holy month of fasting and prayers – Ramadan approaches, the Airtel mobile network has launched the ‘Babalaa Ramadan’ promotion, which will provide gifts for customers on a daily and weekly basis. The grand gift of the promo will be a round trip to Mecca to partake in the Hajj ritual.
Airtel’s Usage and Retention Manager, Abibatu Unisa explained that to qualify for the daily, weekly and the finial gift, subscribers have to either do one of the following: Top up their credits; buy a SIM card and use it; buy data; buy *800# or subscribe to bomba talkSubscribers using Airtel Money can also benefit from the promotion. If money is sent or cashed out with Airtel Money during the Ramadan they would be part of 200 customers who will received Airtel Money Ramadan Gift Voucher ranging from Le1 million to Le 250,000.The Managing Director of Airtel Sierra Leone, Sekou Drame said, “Sierra Leone has a rich and diversified culture with tolerance at its heart. We remain passionate about giving back to our esteemed customers and society at large.”Corporate and Communications Manager, June Rose Johnson, explained that over the years Ramadan is one of the many times they’ve been giving back to their valued subscribers. She said this year they would be going giving back to Mosques, the homeless and those communities that need help the most nationwide.
