1The Chairman, Leader and Parliamentary candidate of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) for Constituency 50 in the Port Loko District, Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray has alleged that he narrowly escaped death when he was allegedly attacked by some thugs of his opponent.
Speaking to Awoko on the phone line Kamarainba says the incident occurred past Saturday when he was driving from Magbonbo, four miles from Lunsar. He says thugs attacked him but he was able to identify two of them. He named one as Spaceman, whom he alleged is the Public Relations Officer for his opponent in the July 9 election. The other he named as Madido.
He disclosed to Awoko that his driver was stabbed in his eye, and three of his supporters were beaten with sticks, and they even made attempt to burn down his car.
“I’m much much more stronger now,” he stated, and went on to say that he was “going to win the election, as the attack has shown that I’m popular.”
The matter is now under investigation at the Lunsar Police.
