At around 3: 00 AM in the morning on June 22nd 2018, One of the China Nineteenth Aid to Sierra Leone received a telephone call that awakened her from sleep, before answering the phone, Dr. Zhu who is also known as Dr. Flora thought that it was one of the usual patient’s she has been working for during the day. Sure enough her original plan was to request for assistance from the Sierra Leone Medical term working with them in the China Sierra Leone Friendship Hospital to help this woman during this this few hours then she will take over in the morning, but this case was different and very serious from then what she was thinking. The Pregnant women have vaginal fluids and have lower abdominal pain, because of these symptoms she decided to come out to do some special examination and she found abnormal fetal heart at the moment, prompting fetal distress, this show that the woman is ready for delivery but during this time the cervix is not open so she cannot do vaginal delivery because of her current condition. So Dr. Flora advice for an emergency cesarean section and the family agree to go for the cesarean. Because of the handing over ceremony from the old Term to the new Term, members of the China’s Nineteenth Aid to Sierra Leone have already been exhausted and were having some rest. Dr. Flora immediately reported the accident to Captain Liang Lihui and the deputy head of Orthopaedic Dr. Huang Shu. Captain Liang Lihui pleaded for the team efforts to successfully complete the operation, and the deputy head of the orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Huang Shu volunteered to serve as an assistant to the cesarean section, the surgical team was quickly established. The doctor was the chief surgeon and the deputy chief Dr. Huang Shu was the assistant to the surgery, the nurse was the equipment nurse, and nurse Zhang Qiuyu was the nursing nurse and the anesthesiologist Dr. Liu Boqiang was there. The operation was started at around 4:00 AM and at around 5:18 AM the pregnant women successfully delivered a girl, both the mother and daughter were safe. Waiting for everyone to walk out of the operating room, this time the sky is smiling for both the family and the term. The family thank the Government of Sierra Leone for building a very strong friendship with China and also thank the term for the hard work. The Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone also inquired about the matter and also expressed confidence on the term for the good work done.
